We are a Raglan-based building and house exterior cleaning service, specialising in exterior soft-washing which is a gentler alternative to more high-pressure methods.
A salt based solution is used to do the heavy lifting, breaking down mould and mildew, which left untreated causes damage to your property’s surfaces.
We also provide related services such as deck and driveway cleaning, roof treatments, gutter clearing, solar panel washing and multi-storey window washing. Basically if it’s outside, we’ll give it a go!
Why did you decide to start the business and what appeals to you about the work you do?
After moving to Raglan to be close to family, and with young children of our own, we quickly realised that working away for half of the time was too hard and so we had to make our own opportunities here.
My experience as a tunneller for 16 years in Australia and here in New Zealand has given me a broad skillset which comes in handy every day. I’m enjoying being outdoors and seeing the sunshine, rather than underground doing shiftwork, and coming home to my family each night is the best.
What maintenance advice do you to have for home owners in Raglan?
Having washed a range of houses locally, both old and new and big and small, I can see that earlier intervention can save a big bill for a paint job or minimise the risk of a loved one being injured on slippery surfaces. Whether it’s DIY or hiring someone, regularly cleaning your property’s exterior surfaces is a safe bet.
