A new playground at Greenslade Road in Raglan is now open, adding a simple outdoor play space designed to sit comfortably within the area’s natural surroundings.
The playground includes two swings, a basket swing and a 25-metre flying fox, along with seating and a new boardwalk connecting the site to the existing path.
Work began earlier this year following a blessing at the site, with the design focused on providing play equipment without overwhelming the open character of the reserve.
The completed playground now gives local families another place to stop, play and spend time outdoors, while improving pedestrian access through the area.
The project was originally expected to be completed in early July and is now officially open for use.
