Raglan Community House has welcomed Martine Alvarez to its team as its new budget adviser, supporting Whāingaroa community members who need help managing their finances.
Originally from Argentina, Martine recently completed the Building Financial Capability training programme.
Through the Community House Budget Service, he will provide one-on-one financial mentoring to help individuals and whānau understand and manage their finances.
Martine will also facilitate MoneyMates, a peer-led programme that gives people an opportunity to learn from one another through supportive conversations about money and financial wellbeing.
In September, Martine will lead a series of free Financial Wellbeing workshops at Raglan Community House, 45 Bow Street.
The workshops will begin at 5pm on Tuesdays, 8, 15 and 22 September.
