Benefits of a regular Yoga practice with The Raglan Yoga Loft

A Regular Yoga Practice is not only good for the body  but also the mind. It can lessen chronic pain, such as lower back pain, arthritis and headaches can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia.

Other physical benefits of yoga include:

  • Increased flexibility
  • Increased muscle strength and tone
  • Increased energy and vitality
  • Respiratory health
  • Maintaining a balanced metabolism
  • Weight reduction
  • Cardio and circulatory health
  • Improved athletic performance
  • Protection from injury

Aside from the physical benefits, one of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. Stress can reveal itself in many ways, including back or neck pain, sleeping problems, headaches and an inability to concentrate. Yoga can be very effective in developing coping skills and reaching a more positive outlook on life.

Because there are so many different kinds of yoga practices, it is possible for anyone to start.

What we offer

The Raglan Yoga loft is a warm and welcoming space and has many different yoga styles on offer as well as regular Pilates classes and meditation. There is something on for everyone from the beginner to the more advanced yogi.

For those first-time students, this week we have a beginner’s course starting with Holly. This class is open to all and will be a really great opportunity to have a little taste of what yoga is all about. It will run on Thursdays from 5.45pm to 7pm.

Many of our teachers draw from their skilled backgrounds in many modalities including naturopathy, massage therapy, nursing, physiotherapy and nutrition.
