SNAG Day for golfers

Usually the word SNAG stands for a problem or issue, like you would get a snag fishing. However SNAG GOLF stands for Starting New At Golf, so rather than being an obstacle it’s an easy way to learn and play golf.

SNAG provides a variety of programmes and is the best introductory golf programme for anyone starting out in golf.

Raglan Golf Club held a SNAG day during the school holidays with 12 Juniors and Caregivers blasting balls into modified equipment.

The golf event was run by Waikato Golf under the management of Stephen Sandford and Andrew Noble.

“Kids love it because it’s all about fun and hitting balls in a variety of ways into different targets,” said Stephen.

Raglan Golf Club will now use the SNAG gear at their Junior Coaching sessions, starting October 20th from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Students need to be 9 years of age or over and it costs $50.00 for the 8 week coaching season.
