Raglan Food Co receive Outstanding Sustainability Award for the second time

Raglan Food Co were really proud to be awarded the Outstanding Sustainability Award at the recent Outstanding New Zealand Food Producer Awards. This is the second time we have received this accolade, first collecting it in 2020.

Sustainability judges Emily King and Fiona Stephenson said ‘Raglan Food Co continues to raise the bar. It’s a leader in its sector and a shining light for others to follow. What stands out is its continuous innovation and commitment to community. Sustainability has been integrated into the way the business operates from the start. It is certified as a B Corp and Toitū Climate Positive. Particularly impressive are its social initiatives, which include a staff profit share programme, staff health and wellbeing fund, and a local community fund. Raglan Food Co has an ongoing focus on innovation, which includes products as well as other initiatives, such as wastewater treatment. It is a truly impressive company that started small with organic coconut yoghurt, and is now transforming the dairy-free sector.’

We’re delighted to be able to announce the winner of our very first Vibe Lifter Award – Chelita Kahutianui o-te-Rangi Zainey (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Haua, Waitaha). It was no small feat with so many lovely nominations; but Chelita was a standout and very well deserving. The RFC team are ecstatic to be able to help her continue her amazing mahi.

Chelita has spent the last decade helping people improve their wellbeing through breathwork, traditional rongoā (healing), and mirimiri (massage). She plans to use the $2,500 grant for providing breathwork workshops in schools. “To be able to share the secrets of breath with our rangatahi so they have this tool with them for life, a tool that helps them to navigate stress and anxiety, it’s such a powerful way to give back to them,” says Chelita.

All Vibe Lifter Award winners receive $2,500 to support their mahi, plus a year’s supply of RFC product (and the winning nominator gets a year’s supply too!).
