The Parlour finds room to grow

July 17, 2026

The Parlour has moved into a new home at The Factory on Wallis Street, creating space for beauty treatments, massage, workshops, retreats and retail. Owner and massage therapist Sammy Cowley says the move offers new opportunities while keeping the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere at the heart of the business.

Tell us about the new space you have moved to.

We feel incredibly lucky to have moved The Parlour into The Factory at 58 Wallis Street. It’s a bit of a dream come true for me.

What are the benefits of the new space and why did you choose it?

Basically the biggest benefit of this space is that we can grow here. There’s a huge space with a fireplace and a full kitchen plus a fresh purpose-built beauty room for us just off the reception area. There’s space for workshops, retreats and retail. It’s so exciting.

What is your vision for The Parlour and what it offers in the new building?

My vision is always to create a space where people feel welcome, relaxed and inspired.  We have some workshops coming up in July, some amazing retail products in for spring and regular retreats for women to feel held and connected.

Who’s currently on the team?

I’m so proud of our team. Te Rongo (beauty therapist) has been with us from the beginning and with her super chill disposition and attention to detail, serves her loyal clients Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Aavia (beauty therapy and reiki practitioner) brings her almost 20 years of experience to The Parlour.  We’re incredibly lucky to have her skill and expertise with us on Mondays.

Our girl Scarlette-Rose (beauty therapist) under the watchful eye of Aavia is fast becoming a brow pro and available Fridays and Sundays.

And me (massage therapist) available Tuesday through to Saturday.

What’s happening at The Parlour over the winter months?

Well the hot stone massage has been super popular and the perfect way to melt away tension and cosy up.

We have a July special for our Matariki spa treatment. This includes:

-Rongoā Copper Foot Bath, Scrub and Massage

– Full Body Hot Stone Massage,

– Coconut sugar back scrub followed by a Hot Towel treatment

– Deep neck and Head Massage

– Herbal Tea by the fire.

All for $150 (usually $200) 90 minutes of bliss!

People can also check out our socials for our specials and upcoming workshops and retreats.

How do people get in touch to book appointments?

You can book by clicking on the ‘Book an Appointment’ button on our website theparlour.co.nz   or just call or email me.
