A new online platform is set to make life easier for Raglan businesses and job seekers to find each other, with the launch of Go Raglan Jobs.
Designed specifically for the Whāingaroa community, the platform aims to keep employment local by connecting employers with people who live in the area – whether for part-time roles, one-off gigs or permanent positions.
The initiative responds to a common challenge in Raglan, where businesses often struggle to find staff, and locals can miss out on opportunities right on their doorstep.
Tourism and Events Workforce Development Advisor Jami Dickson says the platform helps make those connections simpler and more visible.
“We know there are jobs here and we know there are people looking for work,” Jami says. “This platform brings it together in one place so locals can see what’s available and employers can find the right people more easily. It’s about strengthening our local workforce and supporting our community to thrive.”
For job seekers, Go Raglan Jobs offers a simple, centralised place to look for work. Users can create a profile, browse job listings, save roles for later and track applications, all in one place. Listings are kept current, with jobs automatically removed once they are filled.
At the business end, employers can set up a profile and post job listings in minutes. Businesses can manage listings from a single dashboard, edit or save drafts, and view applicants for each role. Like the job seeker side, listings automatically expire to ensure information remains up to date.
The platform also includes a growing library of resources to help people get job-ready, covering everything from CV writing and interview tips to understanding workplace rights and accessing support services.
There are also resources for employers, including guidance on onboarding, supporting young workers and setting clear workplace expectations.
By focusing on local connections and practical tools, Go Raglan Jobs is designed to strengthen Raglan’s workforce and support a more resilient local economy.
The platform has been developed with support from Webpaste, helping bring this community-led project to life.
