Health in Your Hands: Level 1 Here We Come

June 11, 2020

The Seniors are really looking forward to meeting up with all their friends and sharing lockdown stories. The over 70s have kept their heads down and communicated with each other through telephone and other media plus social distancing while out walking.

Our elderly have been grateful for support from many areas of the Raglan Community.

There have been challenging and lonely times and in hindsight, we could have perhaps done things differently. Under the circumstances, everyone did their best to keep the community informed and  make sure everyone was safe.

Whilst we rejoice in our new found freedom here in New Zealand,  we must not forget those who have not been so fortunate especially those who have lost loved ones. Our thoughts go out to all of the individuals, businesses and families who are still struggling with job losses and financial hardship.

We also remember those in other countries still struggling with major impacts of the pandemic.

Our global situation, relatively small population, supreme leadership, and Kiwi resilience gave us a head start. However let’s not get complacent as humanity is facing a major overhaul in our attitude to the planet and social behaviour.

Be Kind, Be Kind, Be Kind

Last week one of our long term Care and Craft members, Thelma  Grinlinton, passed away. Our condolences go to her family and those who cared for her. There will be a service at the Union Church in Stewart Street at 2.00pm
