2017 Waipa Networks Business Awards – Best Customer Service Award FAQs

The 2017 Waipa Networks Business Awards are open for entry.  A popular category is Best Customer Service.

This category is a great pathway for those who want to enter the Awards and test the process out, perhaps for the first time and is a way to gain profile and recognition.  All entrants into Excellence in Business categories are encouraged to also enter Best Customer Service.

The Chamber of Commerce spoke to Richard Preest – Training Co-ordinator at TrustPower, about some frequently asked questions for the award and why Trustpower are so passionate about the Waipa Business Awards.

Why enter Best Customer Service in the 2017 Waipa Networks Business Awards?

My response is always, “why not?”. You put a lot of energy and effort into your business, so here is your chance to show and validate to the rest of the business community, your customers and prospective customers how awesome your business and staff really are! There is nothing to lose but a lot to gain.

What can my business gain from entering?

The greatest gain, that all previous applicants have commented on and really value, is the chance to reflect and look at their business through an objective process. Sometimes in life and business, we get so busy in the ‘doing’ we can miss the opportunity to stand back and review or reflect on what and how we are delivering. Our customers’ requirements and expectations are evolving and changing, and if a little time is taken to analyse these changes your business may discover further opportunities to increase success.

Why does Trustpower sponsor the Best Customer Service award?

Trustpower believes recognising others who deliver top customer service is a valuable thing to do, given that customer service has underpinned our own astonishing growth and above average customer retention in what is now acknowledged as the most competitive retail electricity market in the world.

This award aligns with our own relentless commitment to customer service which  has been pivotal to Trustpower’s success and  it makes sense to partner with the Chambers of Commerce to sponsor the Best Customer Service category in the 2017 Waipa Networks Business Awards to recognise others that do likewise
